In which Steve and Bucky were fake dating for an undercover assignment and SHIELD erased their memory of it; all they have to go on is a vague sense of something important missing, and all they can do is try to piece together a shared past they can't recall. Lovely, heartbreaking story about Steve and Bucky and SHIELD's ultra sketchiness. *whimpers*

So It Goes by [archiveofourown.org profile] DisappointMe
"I would leave, you know. I don’t want this, I just… If I run, will you go with me? If I pick up and disappear, will you come?" It's all he wants if he's being honest with himself. It's been all he wanted since Steve came back, but he only wants it if he can have it with Steve.

Steve's brow furrows for a moment, and he looks at Bucky like he's trying to decide whether it's a joke or not. Steve opens his mouth to say something, then seems to change his mind chuckling a little and shaking his head. "Sure, Buck. Of course."

He expects the disappointment because he knows Steve is just humoring him, but it still stings. Bucky smiles, sad and resigned and it probably looks more like a grimace, if the look on Steve's face is anything to go by. He goes on anyway, though, because it’s believing that they could have this that helps him make it through some of the long nights.
This is wistful and lovely and hopeful all at the same time. Sigh.

Born for Adversity by [livejournal.com profile] katiekins22
It's been awhile since Eliot saw his little brother. Staring down the barrel of Arthur's gun was not exactly how he'd hoped a reunion might happen, but he has to admit the odds had been better than even.

"What's up with your hair?" he asks curiously.

Arthur's jaw tightens like he's chewing on his first response, his brows furrowing in a way that Eliot can admit looks pretty badass.

"My hair?" Arthur finally growls, and Eliot smirks and does the Revlon hair toss, using the motion to conduct a quick visual survey of the hotel room his baby brother is guarding.
hee! Eliot and Arthur as estranged brothers works surprisingly well in this adorable crossover.

A slip of a girl is standing there, pale-faced and with dark hair - longer than Cass. He blinks, and tenses his muscles in anticipation of the fight.

She can't be older than Tim. It's not, as he well knows, any kind of testament to her skill-levels; when Bruce was younger than Tim is now, he was already one of the most dangerous fighters on Earth. Without even going into the likes of Cass or Damian.

Or she could be meta. In which case, of course, all bets are off. Bruce feels his lips set into a thin line. All considered, that is still preferable to magic.

But she doesn't attack him, simply looks at him, solemn and unafraid. Something deep in Bruce's chest shifts.
Batman finds himself in the future with only River Tam for company. Awesome. Excellent at showing how good Bruce can be with damaged kids. And River is, of course, amazing.

Adorable crossover where Jones ends up with a pet felon of his own, one Alec Hardison. Things do not go as planned, at least for the FBI. Adorable and hilarious.

Jones does not punch him; that would be brutality. But he's tempted. He grits his teeth for a second and thinks about all the cases he's chased Hardison on--tax fraud, messing with international bank accounts, hacking systems Jones had never heard of--and how fast they all turned to nothing. "Don't let him touch anything with buttons or a battery; he's been convicted on two counts of computer-related fraud and those are just the ones we could finally pin on him. He's here as a--" Jones is really coming to hate the word "--consultant."

Burke raises his eyebrows. "I didn't realize I was setting a trend."

Tony's more wired than ever, his mind racing with possibility. He always does his best thinking after really good sex, and what just happened has given him a lot of new data to parse. Peter is kind of an expert on risk and he's sure that Olivia is a risk that, once taken, will pay off in a big way. After that she'd made Peter's new obsession a bit more of a priority. Before seeing the picture, she'd just slotted Neal Caffrey in as one more thing Peter's brain couldn't let go of, and amusing yourself while your spouse hunted down the greatest international art thief of the age was certainly classier than being a football widow. She'd never been concerned about it, not really. After seeing the picture, well. She still hadn't been concerned, but she was maybe a little more... cognizant of the possibilities. And that meant doing her own research, being a little more available for Peter to bounce ideas and hypotheses off of, that sort of thing. Of course the problem with learning more about Neal Caffrey was that the more you learned, the more you liked him. Peter definitely did. Elizabeth even suspected sometimes that Peter maybe admired him a little. / She's not sure how to feel now that she knows that it's mutual. Absolutely wonderful OT3 story.

Snowstorms and Other Forces of Nature by [livejournal.com profile] nestra
"I am trapped in your apartment, I have no shoes, and I have the worst hangover I've had since college. I'm stealing eight pairs of your socks." There's a snowstorm, the power goes out, and Dana, Dan and Casey end up in bed together. Adorable and hilarious and very them. *heart*

How Eliot Spencer got his name. Lovely SPN/Leverage crossover with wee!Eliot encountering the Winchesters.

Supernatural/Criminal Minds

This Bitter Earth by [anonymous]
Highly enjoyable SPN/CM crossover in which the Winchesters and the BAU investigate the same case. "Anybody else, I'd say we were dealing with copycats or just a huge coincidence. But those guys escaped custody at least twice that I know of, and Dean Winchester's already faked his own death once before." / "There wasn't much left to find after that explosion in Colorado." Hotch folded his arms across his chest, somehow managed to look even more serious than usual. "You think they engineered the whole thing and escaped again?" / Morgan shrugged. "Possible." / "Well," Reid said with a laugh, "at least we can be sure they weren't resurrected."

Supernatural/Veronica Mars

This River’s Full of Lost Sharks by [anonymous]
Fantastic SPN/VMars crossover. Missouri sends Sam and Dean to Neptune to stop a zombie uprising. They fall in with Veronica and Logan and the rest of the Neptune crew. Really well done blending of the two verses, drawing the parallels neatly without hitting the reader over the head with them. I enjoyed this a lot.

Hee! Adorable GO/SPN crossover in which Dean takes Sam to London and they have a run-in with a more congenial angel-demon pair.

After The Second David Job, Hardison tracks Parker down. Adorable. *glee*

The Epiphany Job by [livejournal.com profile] shrift
Alec tried very hard not to think about all the information that was out there, currently being denied him. All his email, television shows, new comics issues, the games, and news about expansion packs. It was going to be impossible to catch up on all his RSS feeds if they didn't get power back soon. It was enough to give him the shakes. Utterly adorable and in-character first time Hardison/Eliot. ♥

Faint Heart Never Won Fair Lady by [livejournal.com profile] hackthis
"I wish they still made Jell-o pops," she says, holding two red popsicles over her shoulder. // When he turns around, Hardison's giving Eliot an unwrapped popsicle. "What ever happened to Jell-o pops?" Eliot says. // Hardison sighs, slurping on his popsicle. "Jell-o pops were the bomb." Parker decides to ask out Maggie (Nate's Maggie, though Parker disputes that). Hilarity ensues. Mostly Parker/Hardison/Eliot banter, which is awesome.

Friends are a lot like plants by [livejournal.com profile] amaresu
Adorable story in which Parker asks Hardison for some advice on how friendship works.

It's All So Clear to Me Now by [livejournal.com profile] fools_game
They hung out at Hardison's mostly. Eliot was paranoid and messy, and Parker wasn't set up for guests, but Hardison had his great big shiny loft and way more space than anybody could possibly need. // They watched spy movies a lot, heist and action movies, mostly for the entertainment value. The night they watched the fourth Die Hard movie, Parker laughed so hard she slid off the couch and giggled helplessly into her knees, Eliot had to excuse himself to the bathroom every twenty minutes, and Hardison got extremely drunk and swore a lot. Lovely look at the team through Parker's eyes.

when come back bring pie by [livejournal.com profile] liviapenn
"I'll come!" Parker repeated impatiently. "Then you'll be cooking for three...? And Hardison doesn't have to put out...? Unless you want to," she said, and Alec did not even know what that look in her eye was. "Do you want to? Is this awkward? Should I uninvite myself? I could just stay home. I have Hot Pockets." // "Oh, Jesus Christ," Eliot burst out, and so that was how everybody ended up invited to Alec's for Thanksgiving, except for Nate, who was probably gonna get all his calories for the day from a bottle of Scotch, and Sophie, who explained that it wasn't her holiday anyway. Utterly adorable Parker/Hardison/Eliot, with PIE.

Firefly/Supernatural

Time When . . . by [livejournal.com profile] tassosss
Wonderfully warm and hopeful story of how Zoe gets knocked up (by Dean Winchester!), and how that changes everything. There's some minor Zoe/Dean (obviously), but it's not about that at all. More of a Firefly story than a Supernatural one, could be read without knowing SPN canon, really. Lovely. (Could use another beta pass.)

Her prince steps away from her and as the paramedics move in she realizes she was wrong: he's not the prince, he's the witch, come disguised as a sweet old woman selling fruit. He's going to hurt her father. He did this to me! she shouts, and it comes out feeble and shaky but it seems to do the trick. She fades away again, dreaming of poisoned apples and a cursed corset that squeezes the life out of her. Excellent, fucked up Charlie/Rachel.

"God, you're like the annoying little brother I never wanted." / "That's very touching. Do you want to hug now, or after I get a date?" / "After. A lot after. Like. Never, maybe." / "You know, I think you're just repressed. In your feeling places." / "Do you want me to leave?" / "No. No. I want you to help me." / "Okay, good. So let's stop talking about my feeling places, okay?" / "No feelings. Got it." Adorable ficlet in which Hardison asks Eliot to suss out Parker's feelings for him. Hee!
