Jim didn't know it, until Maggie barged in, opening his door with such force that it bounced off the wall and broke a glass panel. Whatever he’d wanted object was lost the moment she said, "Somebody killed the Joker." His first thought was that he expected her to tell him the city was melting down, not to give good news.
His second was, 'Is the killer worse than Joker?' Outsider (Jim Gordon) POV on an AU where Jason kills the Joker under very difficult circumstances. Oh Jay.

"See, Tim?" Jason called over his shoulder sardonically. "Dad agrees with me."
He turned back to his food for a moment before the thought suddenly occurred to him that the Cave had gone near silent. He cautiously glanced back at the others. Alfred was still working away at stitching Tim up. Tim looked a little pale and sweaty, but he was glancing over at Jason with a look that was a mixture of concern and confusion. Bruce was standing stock-still, seemingly staring off into space. Some times Jason calls Bruce "Dad" and how Bruce responds. Oh heart.

Tim Drake is thirteen, runs the famous BatWatch blog that has spiraled hilariously out of control, has absentee parents that suit his purposes just fine, is training himself to run the streets at night, and is doing absolutely peachy, thank you.
Alfred and Jason disagree, and get Dick and Bruce involved in figuring out their weird nextdoor neighbor kid’s life. Everything goes uphill from there. The rest of the series is still in progress, but I enjoyed this AU where Jason lives and Tim joins the family in a different way.

AU where Jason doesn't stay with Bruce at first - he has someone else he has to take care of. Oh heart. #siblings!

Red Robin's gone missing and Poison Ivy is up to something big, so armed with the power of bluster, Batgirl, and snap decisionmaking, Stephanie Brown is on the case! Her and every other vigilante in Gotham. This is a fun adventure with Steph!
