Regulus spit out a mouthful of pumpkin juice when Dumbledore announced at staff breakfast that Remus Lupin would be taking over the Defense Against the Dark Arts post.
Or: The AU where Regulus Black is the Hogwarts Potions Professor instead of Snape and Prisoner of Azkaban goes a little differently. This is exactly the kind of wry and melancholy yet hopeful story I wanted out of that prompt and this is fantastic! Sirius and Regulus getting the chance to be brothers again! Remus getting his potion and thus Peter being captured and Sirius exonerated! Regulus atoning and still a little incredulous at being the adult in the room! Love it! <333
