Hermione trying out for Bake Off is Harry's idea, and once they've worked through all the details of her appearing on muggle TV, she agrees it's a good one. It could be fun, maybe even low stakes enough that she won't get too competitive.

The real question is whose idea was it for Draco Malfoy to try out? This is a really sweet story of Hermione giving Draco a chance after she learns he's grown up and turned over a new leaf. And also they are both on GBBO, though it's a lot less about baking than you'd think.

"You need training," he announced like a teacher assigning more homework, before adding, "and adult supervision," like it was a forgone conclusion that any rational person would already have assumed.

"Hey!" Peter yelped. "Do not! Granted, today might not have been my best day, but I've got this! And I'm getting training. Sort of. Plenty of on the job training at least, but I'm working on it. I don't need supervision. Maybe you need supervision," he told Batman's back as if it wasn't half a foot taller than Peter and probably a full foot wider.

"I am an adult," Batman intoned, like he was imparting great words of wisdom.

"I am too!"

Batman stopped and turned slowly to face him for the first time since they started this wonderful performance review. "You," Batman told him, "are a minor. And you are going to get yourself killed."

"Am not! I'm not either of those things!" This is adorable.

Exactly what it says on the tin - AU where Ahsoka's the Slayer and Anakin's her watcher, but after she died and came back, there's a new, by the book Slayer, and Ahsoka and Anakin have to mend the strain in their relationship. This does a really great job of translating "Landing at Point Rain" into a Buffy-style monster of the week story. I could have read a few thousand more words of this fusion, but it ends rather abruptly.

He sees the surprise of his crew—a new, temporary crew—when he talks about the ship like he knows it intimately, when he greets them in the halls, when he corrects the Captain about how the wind will affect their trajectory. He does it all with an even temper, too. He knows he came close to mutiny more than once when he was banished. He has so much more power, now; he can't be that kind of tyrant again.

The years he spent in exile trained him how to be Fire Lord, in a way. The experience he gained shaped him into a leader, more than any lessons about etiquette and tradition ever could. Banishing him was the best thing Ozai ever did. Zuko, learning to be Fire Lord and leading the Fire Nation into peace. Oh my heart.

(And doesn't like Paris like that -- why would you even suggest such a thing?? Not that ... anyone did.) Long, hilarious, finally finished Paris/Rory fake dating featuring reality TV meeting Stars Hollow.

"What for?" James asked, in genuine surprise. They stopped at the bottom of a staircase, waiting patiently for it to swing around to the direction they wanted to go. Remus found that James was looking at him closely. "Remus, you do know we do all these daft things because we love you."

Coming from Lily or Sirius, such a sentiment would have been definitely overwhelming and possibly mortifying. James said it the way he said We're going to win the Cup this year or We've decided to become Animagi, the way he said everything, with cheerful confidence that the world was going to bend around his whim. James Potter here declares that the last week of Remus's life wasn't a fever dream or a favor, but something natural, and Remus's due. Remus blushed fiercely and stared down at the froth of whipped cream in one of the mugs. "That's why I'm thanking you," he managed. Relationships are complicated, especially when you're a teenager, so it's great that Lily and Sirius are brilliant enough to figure things out. <333
