Lincoln feels flayed open by his gaze, hard as sapphire, recognition sizzles through him. I know you, Lincoln thinks, amused and startled and close to touching. Something inside of Lincoln realigns.

"I am."

They're never going to see eye-to-eye about which time-line is correct, they're going to be forever opposed, and surprisingly, Lincoln's okay with that. Sharp, smart look at one way Peter's return could (but won't) go.

Alice is not very pretty, at least not the way Lily is--she's a bit overweight, with a round face and short, coarse hair and a bump on her chin that Petunia secretly thinks of as the hogwart. But she's very bright and quick to learn, and she's absolutely fearless, and she likes Petunia, and that's enough. Actually, that's more than Petunia has ever imagined. Alice always makes Petunia feel as if something wonderful is about to happen to her, and it's a new and heady state of affairs. This is really lovely, bittersweet in the best ways.

A BSG AU set in the world of Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale. Fantastic - it takes the show's gender and reproductive issues and follows them to their logical - and horrifying - conclusions. Brilliantly done. I love that it's Caprica, and that Sonja and Boomer and Athena are involved, and that Ellen and Saul are still together and still as impotent to effect change as they ever were.

He used plain old swimsuit material from the store, fused on a dumpster-dived ironing board with rubber webbing for strength. Took him about six hours per piece, which was why it was such a BITCH when some jerk shredded one. / "That isn't mechanized?" Dr. Richards looked surprised. "But your security system--what kind of server do you have?" / "Uh..." Peter looked at the robots, stamping out tracer after tracer. Utterly adorable sequel to "Paparazzo" (previously recced). *hearts Peter Parker*

It had been a long time since he'd had that. It was kind of, well, weird actually, but nice weird like bubble bath instead of bad weird like snot monsters.

Oh, Chief. Lovely, soft, sad story about the way humanity is repopulating, and the emotional cost of it. The original, Fatherhood by meyerlemon, is from Lee's POV and is also worth reading. Sigh. Lovely.
