The Belt claimed to be a nation, but it was still more like a room full of squabbling cousins, unable to agree on anything more nuanced than dislike for those outside the squabble. They needed the Inners to trust them, but they didn’t trust each other. It would take at least a generation to smooth over the slights and scores of the past – and that was an optimistic timeline. Some truly excellent and in character sparring between Drummer and Avasarala, post-series. <333

You’re reassuring the child that no matter how dark it is outside, it’s safe for them to close their eyes." This is really lovely - I choked up once or twice. #i'm not crying you're crying
