Bring Me the Head of Bobby Knight by
scrunchy
Bobby Knight breaks Dean Smith's all-time victories record, and Casey is not happy about it. Natalie is... Natalie, by which I mean, awesome. Funny and sweet, with spot-on voices.

"I agree with Dan." Chris was nodding. "It's a little bit sexual." "Not entirely sexual," Will said. "That would be manlust." "What is wrong with you people?" Casey demanded. "We take our homosocial bonding very seriously," Chris said. Hilarious and awesome, like an episode.
Headed to the Dance by

"You just gave me head in the men's room because the George Mason Patriots made it to the Elite Eight," he says. "We are here and romance is way over there." Hopeful, sweet and funny. Dan and Casey's relationship as charted via GMU's improbable run at the NCAAs last year.

Dana sends Dan to Chattanooga to cover a story. Wacky hijinks ensue. Hilarious and wonderfully in character.

That two days after Sam's funeral, Dan's mother had come upon Dan crying in his room, and had put a hand on his forehead and said, "Don't be sad, Daniel." He must expend a lot of energy, spending his life trying not to be. Oh, Danny. *sniffle* Lovely and sad.
Some Other Beginning's End by

Dan laughs, loves this Casey, desperate and wanting, his lists reduced to tragically weak imitations of their usual verbosity. "It's your eloquence that keeps me here," he says, and he pulls Casey on top of him, a tangle of limbs and want and need Danny would stay caught in forever if Casey would let him. Lovely story of the second chances Dan and Casey keep trying to have.
