Fantastic story of a case Dean is working his senior year of high school, told from an outsider pov with a slow, suspenseful buildup to what's really happening. A really gripping read with a well-done original character narrator.
El Camino Real bystalkingwinter
Normal isn't as easy as Sam thinks. I love Sam-hunts-at-Stanford stories, and this is a good one. I especially like the real, lived-in nature of his relationship with Jess, and the push-pull of his relationship with Dean always in the background. Lovely.
Five in the After bymontisello
John tries to decide if it was all worth it. His sorrow is palpable. Heartbreaking and yet hopeful.
Hospital Corners bykellifer_fic
Lovely, understated, heartbreaking coda to Mystery Spot. Dean keeps switching out Sam's toothbrush. Sam doesn't respond well.

I generally don't like stories where they settle down and stop hunting, but I like this one, where Dean's got an injury that keeps them out of the game, and they live a quiet life down in Mexico. (wincest)
