She wrote it for the Psalm Challenge, so I'm taking full credit for inspiring such an awesome Xander fic. Xander and Faith, two years post-Chosen, on a visit to Quebec to pick up a Slayer. Xander learns a lot about Faith, and faith, and himself in the bargain. Just well-written, beautifully characterized, and thought-inspiring.

Okay, this is me, so you know any fic including Oz teaching Xander guitar is going to hit my buttons, but this... guh. Just -- vulnerable, tentative, sweet boys talking (as much as Oz talks to anyone) and kissing and there are blowjobs and unstated revelations of how similar Xander and Oz are under the skin, and well, Xander. Oz. Guh. Recently Xander/Oz has become my favorite BtVS slash pairing, my reliable go-to for hot, hot boysex, and man does this story deliver. The hottitude of this story made my air conditioner worthless.

At LAX, the slayerettes (and the slayers) part. Xander is the last to leave; Xander is the one who is left.

a quote:
Then he looks back out at the terminal, at the people passing him by. He looks down at his ticket, then back out again. It would be so easy, he thinks suddenly, to tear up his ticket, to walk out of the terminal, and not look back. He could stay in LA-except that this is where Angel has set up shop, so scratch that. He could go anywhere: San Francisco, Seattle, New York City, Las Vegas. Anywhere. He could leave all of this behind him, go where no one knew him or what he’d spent the last seven years of his life doing. He could start fresh, never having to think of vampires or demons or a Hellmouth again. Not if he’s careful, anyway.

He could, he could.

It would be so easy.

Beautiful, in character, bittersweet, and oh god, Willow, ditch Kennedy and come back for Xander. You know you want to!

Um, yeah.

Lovely story.
