Mal has a little chat with Kaylee about shipboard romances. The voices are spot-on.

Autumn by wisdomeagle
Stark, soulful, haunting, gorgeous look at the crew of Serenity hunkered down one autumn night.

Beautiful Destruction by aliaspiral
Jayne and Zoe discuss River to get through a tense moment during the movie. Good Jayne voice.

Clear Brightness by rivendellrose
River celebrates the day of the dead. Lovely, sad and haunting (no pun intended). movie spoilers.

Embracing a Life of Crime by Macha
Adorable pre-series story of how Wash and Zoe might have gotten together, including a jailbreak and a volcano.

Five Drinks by kassrachel
I really like this set of vignettes - Mal has drink with a few of the other characters, and it's so very *Mal*. The Simon section is my favorite.

A Hundred Shades of Blue by inlovewithnight
Post-movie, shivery lyrical, perfect Simon/Inara story. Inara has a solution to River’s troubles, and Simon takes it, though it takes them all from Serenity.

In Stitches by KMS
Warm and quiet slice of life fic - a look at Serenity’s crew as Simon does the mending. Couple minor grammar problems, but worth the read.

A Lacking in Plastic by Nichole
An absolutely stunning post-movie fic about River - and everyone else - coming to terms with Certain Events in the movie.

Learning Curve by Maystone
River wants to be a real girl, but doesn't think she can. Lovely story of how the rest of the crew help her.

The Meeting Time by vr_trakowski
*sobs* Post-Serenity, Zoe decides whether or not she wants to survive.

Never home by igeria
Serenity is a home for everyone on board, except Inara. Sharp and heartbreaking look at Inara watching her shipmates.

Passing Through and Through by brighidestone
Short and sharp, this story rings like a bell with the truth of River and Mal and Serenity after the movie, coming up on the Day of the Dead.

Repair by Molly
Poignant, sharp Mal/Kaylee story in which Kayee feels she let him down after War Stories and he convinces her otherwise. Lovely.

The Special Two by Baylor
Things go all to hell and Jayne's stuck with River, and he has to take care of her unless he wants to end up in the special hell. Sharp and funny and in character. AU after Objects in Space.

That Place of Nothing by luzdeestrellas
Zoe takes what she needs from Mal after the movie. Harsh and heartbreaking and true. *sniff*

Wait My Dissolution by sullensiren
Simon receives a copy of the River Tam sessions and learns a little more about what was done to River. Sharp and sad.
