Funny, sweet, sly and smart story in which River buys a dress and steals a kiss.

Happy Endings by bradcpu
Eek! Short, sharp, dark and chilling - two scenes that weren't at the end of the movie, but the possibility explored here will blow your mind and break your heart.

Par For The Course by Voleuse
Simon's never had to think about food before, but in the black, there isn't a lot of green. Lovely look at Simon, learning to adjust to life on Serenity.

Paradise Has a Thousand Doors by tesla321
This starts with a Jayne/Mal thing I'm not sure actually belongs, but once the River POV kicks in, it's gorgeous - wonderfully in character, full of delicious Mal/River UST, with some wonderful exchanges between them.

Pieces on the Ground (Sweet Dreams and Flying Machines) by astralis
Mal and Kaylee survey the damage done. Like a missing scene from the movie. Quiet, understated, heartbreaking, and just a little bit hopeful at the end.

Adorably cute Remus/Sirius get together story - James drags his friends on an expedition to find the perfect gift for Lily and Remus and Sirius discover what they'd like to give each other.

Appendix C: Title Deed by tradescant
This is art as much as fic - the blueprints for number Twelve, Grimmauld Place. Smart, witty, and sad, when you think of Sirius and Regulus and how they'll never come home again.

Aprils Yet to Come by rosemaryandrue
Written for wellymuck, this is a short, sharp, painful look at Sirius and Remus during the spring of 1981, as Sirius babysits for Harry. Oh, it hurts so much.

Sirius knows all these different languages, but he still can't find the words. Utterly gorgeous ficlet.

The Cruelest Months by Gehayi
By turns chilling and poignant, this story rings with sharp truths about the Black family - their beliefs and their relationships with each other.

A Few Mornings in January by omgsubtext
Remus moves in with Sirius on the sly, and Sirius is besotted and unable to do anything about it but make breakfast. Utterly adorable.

This hits every single one of my buttons in the very best way. It's hot and sweet and funny and just a little poignant and there's pining and Sirius wears Remus's trousers, and oh god, did I mention the hot? (there's a link to part two at the bottom of the post.)

Sirius tells a small lie and it spirals out of control. Lovely, visceral Sirius/Remus story that made me sniffly.

Poignant, sexy post-war Ron/Luna. Lovely.

Lovely story of Ron and Hermione finally coming together. Set in her "Transfigurations" universe.

There are only twelve Cylon models. Kara and Lee deal with meeting Number Twelve. Brilliant, fucked up, hurtful. The show should totally do this.

The Passing of the Queen by hossgal
AU. Laura Roslin's last moments. Lovely.

Ship to Ship by brynnmck
Kara and Lee, after "The Captain's Hand." I love their interplay here, old friends who miss hanging out, who know each other better than anyone else, and miss the ease that brings. (AU in the wake of later episodes)

Lovely, understated story in which Buffy and Xander bond after the events of Two to Go/Grave. I'm not at all a fan of B/X, but it works in this story.
