American Gods

do zla boga by kangeiko
So why, astute readers may wonder, do some older gods survive? Why are they, too, not forgotten in the wind, lost to newer gods with deeper thorns and larger armies at their back? / If I tell you it is good deeds and miracles, you will know that I am lying. Sharp, creepy story well in keeping with the tone of the book.

The Graveyard Book

Tipping The Balance by Laliandra
“So, it was a dark and stormy night in Prague,” Eli intoned. Silas frowned and said, “Yes, it was, actually.” “Wow, you two really did grow up together,” Jojo said with a snicker and Bod and Silas exchanged the puzzled glance of the pop culturally illiterate. While I don't really buy the pairing, this is a lovely story of Bod growing up outside the graveyard, and Silas coming in and out of his life, still. Really captures the feel of the book, and the ending is perfect.

Sandman

Schizophasia by Imricita (whatimages)
She tried to make friends with a fairy tale once. It was about a princess who was a cat with emerald eyes; but under the force of Delirium's two coloured gaze, it started to fracture and warp, and soon it wasn't about anything at all. The emerald-eyed cat chases Delirium's fish throughout her realm, and no one remembers her name. Only Delirium remembers it; Delirium remembers everything. Destiny has read much, but Delirium was once Delight, and she forgets nothing. Absolutely dazzling story of the drive to create and the toll it extracts. Paul wants to write a poem. Delirium wants a friend. A bargain is struck. Brilliant.

Lucifer

And End With A Song - by Sullen Siren
"But things will be different." / "They always are. Or they appear to be. The change itself is a constant enough to make it invalidating. Change is constant, and thus nothing really changes," Lucifer said. / Her lips pursed. "You're kind of full of crap, sometimes." / "We can't all be omniscient." / "No, but you're closer than most." Lovely, in character story where Lucifer tells Elaine about Michael. *sniffle*

Copulative Dissonance by Vulgarweed
Short, sharp vignettes featuring Lucifer and Mazikeen, with fantastic characterization and humor.

Crossovers

Narnia/Lord of the Rings

Ere Yet We Loose the Legions by [livejournal.com profile] bedlamsbard
Highly enjoyable and workable LotR/Narnia crossover. The Uruk-hai pursue Eomer's eored into Narnia. High King Peter is not pleased.

Firefly/Supernatural

Time When . . . by [livejournal.com profile] tassosss
Wonderfully warm and hopeful story of how Zoe gets knocked up (by Dean Winchester!), and how that changes everything. There's some minor Zoe/Dean (obviously), but it's not about that at all. More of a Firefly story than a Supernatural one, could be read without knowing SPN canon, really. Lovely. (Could use another beta pass.)

Leverage/Supernatural

Young Parker meets the Winchesters. I really enjoyed this.

The Zuul Job by [livejournal.com profile] harriet_spy
Adorable snip of a Leverage/SPN crossover - Bela and Parker are after the same artifact. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

Supernatural/The Graveyard Book

They are not all saints by [livejournal.com profile] ultraviolet9a
Fantastic crossover with Ihe Graveyard Book, gets Silas's voice just right.

Supernatural/The Time Traveler's Wife

Barefoot Girl by [livejournal.com profile] kalquessa
Lovely, delicate, moving crossover with The Time Traveler's Wife, which I haven't read, but this worked for me anyway. Dean and Alba's many meetings.
