Nile's world is upended. But she doesn't lose family. Not all the way. This is a really nice look at Nile settling into the team and coming to grips with her new life.

one for the road by [archiveofourown.org profile] beardsley
Silly little white girl, thinking all her training and all her skills would be enough to get her a seat at the grownups' table. Aisha loved proving her wrong, back in Sarajevo. She loved proving her wrong with her forearm against Red's throat, Red's gun under Aisha's chin and her thighs clamped so tight around Aisha's waist Aisha thought she might actually have to kill her to get away. She didn't. She's glad. This way, they get to do it again. Sharp, hot Aisha/Natasha.

The Losers

Four Coffee Morning by [archiveofourown.org profile] devildoll
"Fuck you, I'm staying," Jensen says, and tries to snug in a little closer, though that's hardly possible. "I need my cuddles." This is the best part. Sex is easy enough to find, even when you're a wanted man on the run (maybe especially when), but finding someone who'll let you cuddle with them while you sleep is a much more difficult prospect. Cougar's been Jensen's default cuddle target for years.

Maybe someday, Cougar'll just let him do it, and not put up some bullshit token protest. But even if that never happens, Jensen's not gonna stop, because if there's any one of them who needs cuddles more than Jensen, it's Cougar.
Bittersweet little story about Jensen and Cougar and how their relationship works. mostly.

"Oh no," said Jensen.

"Jensen, we need to... talk," said Clay, like the words pained him.

"We’ve noticed that you seem..." Aisha began.

"Please stop," said Jensen. "Please, please, stop."

"Your head is up your ass," she finished, matter-of-fact. The kind of matter-of-fact that meant Aisha was about wade into topics that made her deeply uncomfortable, like feelings. Shit. "Tell us why."

"Would you believe me if I said I didn’t know?"

"Sadly," said Clay, "yes."
*dies and is dead* This is hilarious and perfect. The Losers v. dinosaurs, and Jensen's complete obliviousness to his own and Cougar's feelings. I laughed out loud many, many times and the story isn't even that long.

Election Days by [personal profile] raven
Wonderful Trek/West Wing crossover - CJ and Donna and the election of the President of the United Federation of planets. It's a ceremony for the media. It's always a ceremony for the media. CJ's actually gone outside for the occasion, though, which is something new after what feels like weeks and weeks living inside her office and sleeping under her desk. They're standing backstage, waiting for the fireworks to start. Above, there is the panoply of stellar light, asterisms of geostationary spacedocks with the familiar stars as backdrop.

Donna squeezes CJ's hand: doing okay?

Gorgeous look at Sports Night as if it existed in the Trek Reboot universe. But what I do is important. Sports are important. Do you think the Federation only does battles and science and politics? I am a Federation citizen and I think sports are important and of our, I don't know, one thousand five hundred member worlds and ten trillion citizens, I think there are enough people who agree to make it worthwhile for me to do my job. And even if there weren't I would still do it, because it is important."

They had to admit it — everyone on the team was freaked out when Jensen started knitting.

Not so much that he knew how to knit, because that seemed like the kind of dumbass thing Jensen would pick up, like how he kept 20-sided dice in his pack, or how he could make shadow puppets out of duct tape and spare weapons. And no one really raised so much as an eyebrow over the fact that he picked it up on one of his trips to see his sister — Beth was at that age where she'd learn it at Brownies, or Campfire Girls, or whatever sort of group you send little girls with genetic tendencies towards being freakishly smart and frighteningly hyperactive to.

No, what freaked his team out was when Jensen decided that the best time to knit was right in the middle of a goddamned mission.

Blood Comes Off Easily by [personal profile] charlieblue
So they fuck, then, and it's all spine-twisting, hair pulling and hard, wonderful hands gripping her skin like it's the most addictive substance in the world, which, really, just ask her, and she'll tell you all about it.

Afterward, she curls up inside the big spoon of him, and tries to imagine the ways in which he could die. Erotic asphyxiation seems to be winning out over a bullet to the head (quick, clean, easy) and a knife to the gut (slow, messy, just as easy). She might even enjoy the first one. Which might be why the professionalism of the two latter ones might take higher priority once the afterglow of the best three fucking orgasms of her life have faded.

'What are you thinking about?' He asks, tracing her cheekbone and pulling her hair back from her face, his fingers tracing patterns in her skin.

She smiles. 'You.'
Fantastically brutal look at Aisha, and what made her who she is.
