Peter travels the multiverse to find (our) Olivia. Really compelling read.

Utterly adorable Wendy/Lacey first time.

The Simpsons

Very Deliberately Waiting by [personal profile] gloss
Manjula's tone is final, brooks no disagreement, and it makes Marge smile and want to rise into the air. There is such certainty in the woman, more than enough for two, with plenty to spare.

She is touching Marge's hair now, working her fingers into the stiff-sprayed curls. Everything loosens around Manjula: dishes don't finish rinsing, sentences trail off, Marge's hair droops and spills.
Lovely Marge/Manjula story that burns slow and hot.

Crossovers

Angel/Supernatural

The Exiles by [personal profile] briarwood
From last year's big bang, an engrossing SPN/Angel crossover featuring John teaming up with Kate Lockley on a hunt. Nicely done - feels true to both characters.

The Losers/The A-Team

These things get louder (or, five times the losers met the a-team) by [personal profile] storm_petrel
Highly enjoyable Losers/A-Team crossover.

The Losers/Leverage

Something Worth Dying For by [personal profile] zillah975
Clay and his team help out when Eliot gets caught on a job that goes slightly wrong. Highly enjoyable.

Psych/Firefly

Little Pieces by [personal profile] blackeyedgirl
Fascinating crossover where Shawn Spencer was at the Academy with River. "He just sees everything. Everyone else, they just see pieces but Shawn-"

"No," Shawn interrupts. "Gus, no. Everyone else sees the whole and I see the pieces. All the little tiny puzzle pieces and they don't fit together right and sometimes I know why but not always and I can't just let them go out of focus they're always-."

The Simpsons/Supernatural

What Remains by [livejournal.com profile] geonncannon
Supernatural/Simpsons fusion in which Lisa=Sam. YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE! *hearts*

Sports Night/Star Trek Reboot

Earth, Renaissance by [livejournal.com profile] loneraven
Gorgeous look at Sports Night as if it existed in the Trek Reboot universe. But what I do is important. Sports are important. Do you think the Federation only does battles and science and politics? I am a Federation citizen and I think sports are important and of our, I don't know, one thousand five hundred member worlds and ten trillion citizens, I think there are enough people who agree to make it worthwhile for me to do my job. And even if there weren't I would still do it, because it is important."

The Simpsons

The Fearless Moral Inventory of Milhouse Van Houten by [livejournal.com profile] meyerlemon
Sharp, believable, poignant look at Milhouse when he grows up. He's one of those guys who works a lot better in college than he did in high school. Suddenly his glasses and big nose and bowl cut make him look like some hipster comedian. Girls like that.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down by Merlin Missy
Brilliant - funny, tightly plotted, full of hilarious injokes and meta references. An all-around fantastic read.

The Simpsons
Green-Eyed Homer by Person
Homer and Lisa and fathers and daughters and *oh* I cannot believe this story made me sniffly but it totally did. Sweet and funny and true to the show and the ending is perfect.

Five Things Maggie Simpson Never Said by [livejournal.com profile] soundingsea
Very cool Five Things story. The first and last are my favorite ones. Maggie Simpson, and five possible futures for her.

Pinky and the Brain
Jane Narf by Parhelion
Utterly hilarious and brilliant. "Jane, are you pondering what I'm pondering?" "Well, I think so, Mr. Brainchester, but aren't the moors rather chilly this time of year without clothing on?" Awesome.

Recs from [livejournal.com profile] yuletide:

The Simpsons
The Ballad of Lenny and Carl by Kyra Cullinan
It's Lenny/Carl and it's sweet and poignant and funny and the character voices are dead on.

Peanuts
Every Good Girl Does Fine by [livejournal.com profile] kissmeagain
Perfectly Peppermint Patty. And Marcie, too.

Lucifer
Come What May by Catrinella
Excellent look at how Mazikeen can never really escape the tension between love and duty, her loyalty to Lucifer v. her loyalty to the Lilim, even when she's meant to be having a tender interlude with Lucifer rather than a conference of war.

Winnie the Pooh
In Which A New Child Comes To The Forest by [livejournal.com profile] loligo
Lovely - Christopher Robin is grown and brings his son to the Hundred Acre Wood.

Fables
Rewrites and Revisions by Sophia Prester
I love how this, much like the source text itself, plays with the narrative conventions of fairytales and stories, and I really like this characterization of Snow.

Calvin & Hobbes
Transmogrification by [livejournal.com profile] hyperfocused
While I'm not sold on the epilogue, the rest of this fic is pure brilliance - Calvin (and Hobbes) as he grows up, bored and attitudinal, and then brilliant and freaky. Very cool
