Zombieland

Not If, Only or Even, But Always by [archiveofourown.org profile] Laliandra
Wichita wrote a list for him, because the whole concept was stupid and passive and that’s just not her. Anyway, Columbus likes lists. She writes a list of all the things she’s going to tell Columbus, and the only reason she won’t is because she might run out of time. The secrets she wants to keep from him, well, she’s taking those to the grave and hopefully not beyond. I really enjoyed this look at Columbus and Wichita's relationship after the movie.

World War Z

George Town, Grand Cayman by [archiveofourown.org profile] Lyrstzha
We wanted to warn people, but we didn’t want to get taken back to Perryville—or worse, back to the lab. We figured Scott might even just send hit men after us or something. Who’d’ve listened to us? So we stayed together and kept a low profile, just in case anyone was looking. I even started praying of an evening, though I still don’t know as I think anybody’s listening. Any port in a storm, though, right? I guess when times are bad, at heart we’re all just on our knees in a gravel road, hoping that light in the sky ain’t just an oil fire. Reads like it could have been part of the book. Really well-characterized and the ending surprised me.

Spaceman Spiff and the Alien Conspiracy by [archiveofourown.org profile] Froggimus_Rex
Ahahahahaha! This is awesome! Is it wrong that now I want the crossover where Calvin meets Milagro Reyes?

The Mummy

Take That, Bembridge Scholars! by [archiveofourown.org profile] seren_ccd
"My point is, we almost got killed and your next move is to write a strongly worded letter?"

"Of course," Evelyn said planting her hands on her hips, not the most graceful of moves when one was currently sitting on the sand next to a fire. "How else will the Bembridge Scholars realize that they have areas which require significant improvement?"
Absolutely note-perfect coda to the first movie, with a great Evie voice and a really clear vision of her relationship with Rick - how much he loves her and why, and why she reciprocates. ♥

Aladdin

The Hunt for Man-Yu-El by [archiveofourown.org profile] cimorene
I really liked this repositioning of Agrabah as a world of the future, where magic has replaced technology, and no one's quite sure how it works, but Jasmine is on the case and will figure out what needs to be done. Highly enjoyable.

Gentleman Bastards Series

The Best Laid Plans by [archiveofourown.org profile] Laura
This story is basically everything good that fanfic is: a caper where Jean and Locke pretend to be married, and then have the realization that they're in love with each other, featuring snappy banter, hot sex and insults as endearments. *beams* It wasn't written for me, but it could have been. The perfect happy coda to Red Seas that we will never get in canon. ♥♥♥

Wonderful look at Susie looking back at her childhood adventures with Calvin.

Back to the Future

we can't live in the present forever by ideal_girl (trainwreckdress)
Fantastic look at how all that timeline jiggering must have screwed with Marty's head.

Scooby-doo

You're Ready And You're Willin' by HectorRashbaum
Velma and Scooby and the zombie apocalypse. Sharp and sad and shockingly believable.

Are You There, God? It's Me, Little Rock by Sarah T
Money had always been the score, the prize, the proof they could take care of themselves. A world where her sister didn’t care about money was actually scarier than a world full of zombies. I liked getting Little Rock's perspective on things.

Old Spice Man/Feminist Hulk

Untitled Old Spice Man/Feminist Hulk Crossover by [anonymous]
"Hello, Judith Butler. Allow me to scrub your back. So you and Feminist Hulk are saying that my devotion to Old Spice body wash might be part of a larger regulative discourse to maintain an essential ontological gender?" Feminist Hulk + Old Spice Man + Judith Butler. THIS MIGHT BE THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER READ EVER! ♥

Absolutely gorgeous fancomic featuring Saito and Dream (spoilery for Sandman if you haven't finished it).

Leverage/Inception

Kick Harder by [livejournal.com profile] girl_wonder
Very cool story in which the Inception folks bring in Sophie to help them out on a job, but I think the real takeaway is that Parker is awesome and scary.

Supernatural/Zombieland

Highway to Hell, Michigan by [livejournal.com profile] southwindow

Highly enjoyable crossover with Supernatual & Zombieland. "No need for names," Tallahassee said coarsely, coming around from the trunk and pumping his rifle. "Only wherever it is you're headed." The two guys exchanged looks. Like, weird looks. Like, we're-pompous-asses-but-for-a-good-reason looks. "Well then." He gestured to himself. "You can call me Lawrence. And him?" He grinned, and fuck all if it didn't freak me out a little. "You can call him Detroit."

Supernatural/Burn Notice

Smoke on the Water by [anonymous]
Kids are disappearing in Miami, and Maddie ropes Michael into finding one of them. The Winchesters are working the same case, and when they cross paths, hijinks ensue. I enjoyed this a lot, though there are some weird formatting issues to watch out for.
