Harry Potter
Love In Fire and In Blood by [livejournal.com profile] loneraven
Lovely story of James and Lily's wedding - warm, affectionate, with the feeling that MWPP+Lily have been friends for years. I love the way Remus lets it all roll over him with affectionate bemusement, likely the best attitude to have around James and Sirius.

Our Bodies Could Fall Off The End Of The World by [livejournal.com profile] pixiefiction
This hits so many of my bulletproof narrative kinks, I can't even... Remus, happy to take what little Sirius will give him, and Sirius, not quite getting it and just wanting to make him happy, and oh... My poor sweet boys... *sniff* I love this so much.

Narnia
Open the Doors by [livejournal.com profile] chaos_pockets
Lovely examination of faith from Lucy's perspective, in London, in Narnia. Worship is like breathing, and your heart beating, and having joy in life and knowing why, for Lucy, and the buildings are too much and too staged for her comfort.

The week after the almost-armageddon, from Crowley's POV. The sixth day is a bit of a revelation for the poor demon.
(Note: does anyone have a real link for this? I'm not fond of linking to the wayback machine for it)

The Pleasures of the World by [livejournal.com profile] irisbleu and [livejournal.com profile] linnpuzzle
Beautiful, tender story of Aziraphale and Crowley after the world doesn't end, deciding to explore things they haven't tried before. Wonderfully done. And the gorgeous sequel,
Sleight of Hand Aziraphale's POV on what happens next.

Salvation by afrai
Aziraphale experiences doubt after the near-apocalypse, and turns to Crowley for reassurance.

Satan Is No Gentleman by afrai
Pepper is a slayer. It explains so much, really. I wish this had been longer, a full-fledged crossover, but it works as it is.

Apple (The Divine Intervention Remix) by Xellas
Utterly adorable. Crowley and Aziraphale are called upon to explain their... actions from the original story (Apple by MadScienceChick, in which Adam gives Crowley and Aziraphale a present for his wedding. While they enjoy the, er, fruits of the gift at first, they don't respond well in the afterglow, and which is adorable in its own right).

Narnia

Always Spring and Never Summer (Once a King, Always, Immortal Remix) by Aldalindil
This is so gorgeous, so achy and sad and perfect and oh, the pain of losing Narnia - twice for poor Susan - is palpable in this story. Brilliantly done. The original story - Once a King by Rynne – is worth reading too. The remix expands beyond Peter and Edmund and considers all four Pevensies, and Professor Kirke, too.

Stages of Age and Youth (The I Dreamt a Dream Remix) by Rynne
This was no Golden Age. This was growing pains. Lucy, growing up again, aboard the Dawn Treader. Stunning. Just gorgeous.
The original - The Wastelands by Mirkat - takes on all four Pevensies as they grow up, and learn of love and loss, and is also beautifully done.

For the Birds by [livejournal.com profile] irisbleu
After the near apocalypse, things have changed, and Crowley's not dealing so well with that, but Aziraphale figures out a way (with the help of some birds) to make it better. Lovely.

Habit by [livejournal.com profile] jennaria
Aziraphale has unpleasant business in Sodom and Gomorrah, and Crowley tags along. Sharp and tense, which is due to the tight writing, given that we know how it ends.

The Last Most Beautiful Day in the World. by [livejournal.com profile] bookshop
Aziraphale and Crowley live through the three Most Beautiful Days in the World. Heartbreakingly sad and lovely; rings like a bell with truth.

Wonderful look at Agnes Nutter.

Until the End that Is to Come by [livejournal.com profile] magicicada
Long, brilliant, intense story of another near-apocalypse, and how Newt and Anathema, especially, deal. This story has many wonderful character touches and little winning details that bring it to life, and it's extremely engrossing.

Seaside by[livejournal.com profile] irisbleu and [livejournal.com profile] linnpuzzle
Unutterably beautiful and moving and sweet and funny story of Crowley and Aziraphale taking a little beach holiday and discovering hidden depths in their friendship. And the sequel, Undertow, which is Crowley’s POV of the days after. Warm and tender and breathtakingly lovely.

Thunder Road (Trade In These Wings on Some Wheels) by [livejournal.com profile] vulgarweed
Adam's taken with existentialism so Aziraphale and Crowley can't count on his help to get away from a mob of angry demons. Funny and smart, and a great title. *g* And the sequel, The Circular Argument, in which Adam, Aziraphale and Crowley have a philosophical discussion, and an incredible amount of mind-blowing sex. From the summary to the last line, I adore this fic. My memory of the movie is vague but Nifra has drawn Chuckie well enough here that I don't need to remember much more than Will, and Chuckie draws Will beautifully in everything he says and doesn't say, and does and doesn't do. Just fabulous in every way - voice, characterization, emotion - all working together to tell a story that moves me.

Hee! Office Christmas parties are the same everywhere, and the Metatron attempts to escape from conversation with Aziraphale at this one. Alias

Between Past and Present Tense (the Stories About Girlfriends mix) by Shaye
Oh, I love the resigned and snarky Weiss-voice in this, and how he can’t turn his brain off even when it leads him into places he’d rather not go, like his own secret attraction to Vaughn. Meanwhile, the original fic, Between Past and Present Tense by zara hemla, is much angrier (and yet still snarkily funny), from Vaughn’s POV as he tries and fails, tries and fails to find Sydney and it’s killing him. Love both of them, both for the differences and for the way they mesh so when Eric shrugs in the original, you know what he’s thinking, thanks to the remix.

Effable by Beth H.
Snarky Crowley and defensive Aziraphale and a lovely conversation about family.

Falling Rain by Ariastar
Crowley stows away on the Ark. Aziraphale finds him. Tentative companionship and an oh-so-slow build up to the agreement (before it was capitalized) and maybe something more. The language is lovely, and the end made my chest all achy.

Naked and Unashamed by Louise Lux
Crowley convinces Aziraphale that maybe trying this lust thing out would help them understand it better (and thus do better at their respective jobs). Sweet, hot first time story; evocative and sensual.

The Best Christmas Ever by Amy
Christmas in Lower Tadfield really *is* the Best Christmas Ever, every single year. Aside from the gleeful irony of the whole *idea* of the Antichrist celebrating the perfect (secular) Christmas, this story is a warm and comforting way to play catch-up with some characters I love.

Cumulative Effort by magpie
This is a lovely Crowley/Aziraphale story that charts their relationship - with desire and with each other - over a few thousand years. Lovely and in character (there are a few typos, but nothing to stop you from reading it).

It Came Upon a Midnight Clear by daegaer
Hee! Aziraphale leads the heavenly host in reporting the news of Jesus' birth, but the shepherds are having a hard time keeping their wits. Meanwhile, Crowley's got a bit of annunciating to do himself, though he'll get in trouble if Hell discovers what he's done. Funny, evocative of the book, could easily slide into canon. I loved it.

Aziraphale is called home. How will Crowley deal? Well, by trying to break his friend out of Heaven, of course. Just wonderful.

Growing Season by Kathleen Anne
Aziraphale takes charge of Crowley’s plants, with unexpected results. I enjoyed this a lot – the banter is witty and in character. A great slice-of-life story.
